I've been making some small soft-backed books for people, trying out methods of binding that are new to me. This cover is made from two layers of cloth and I am experimenting with ways in which I can use cloth book covers instead of leather, card and wood.
Here is a red leather pocket book, sewn in a similar manner to the cloth book.
A detail of the sewing of this different structure. No glue is used in these bindings. They are based upon historic bindings found in Tallin.
